Nobody would ever recommend that you join the 1 million plus Americans that drop out of school each year. With this being said, some of the World’s most successful people are in fact school drop outs and today we are going to take a look at how exactly these people who were once written off by the system, ended up going on to amass fortunes and worldwide fame thanks to their future endeavors.

TB Joshua

The highly successful pastor and prophet TB Joshua failed to complete his first year in high school after he dropped out he would work on a chicken farm and run local bible study groups. After he received a heavenly intervention, the child that was nicknamed ‘small pastor’ by his friends was inspired to create the Synagogue of all Nations Church. In the beginning, the church was humble and had a small congregation but in a few short years the congregation grew to over 15,000 members and the church now receives more visitors each year than Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London combined.

Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino longed to work in the film industry and at 15 he quit school to work full-time in a movie theater. Tarantino used his time wisely and studied films each day at his job. After securing a loan, he produced his first film, Reservoir Dogs and the rest, as they say, is history. Tartan has amassed a huge wealth and has created some of the World’s most iconic films in history.

Jay Z

Jay Z quit school too at 15 although unlike Tarantino, his future would not be in the movies, instead, the young Shawn Carter quit school to sell crack on the streets of Brooklyn. Carter’s real passion, however, was music and using his drug profits, he and fired Damon Dash created Roc-a-Fella, a record label which would springboard Jay-Z and his rapping style to great success. Following a series of hit albums, Jay Z now boasts a clothing label, a sports agency company and his own music streaming service as well as a fortune well above $100 million.

Mark Zuckerberg

Zuckerberg made it through school and studied computer sciences at Harvard University, during his time there, he created a website which ranked how pretty his fellow female students were and as a result, crashed the school’s servers. Zuckerberg ran with the idea and continued to shape and mould the website which brought him such success. The result was Facebook, a billion dollar idea which saw the young Zuckerberg quit his studies and invest all of his time into his new project. Facebook is now available in every country in the World and it has changed the way in which people live their lives. Not only has Facebook changed lives it has also earned Zuckerberg a fortune and made him one of the World’s most influential people.
